Race: Satyr

Class: Palladin

Backstory:

Born in the lush, rolling hills of the Sacred Vineyards of Thallos, Bromius grew up surrounded by the blessings of Dionysos. The vineyards were more than a home, they were a sanctuary of joy, celebration, and divine communion. Bromius was raised as a protector of this sacred space, trained in the arts of combat, revelry, and forgiveness. The teachings of Dionysos resonated deeply in his heart, especially the idea that even the darkest souls can be redeemed through the light of joy and celebration.
Bromius wasn't alone in this duty. His younger brother, Karos, was his closest companion. Together, they learned to honor Dionysos through song, dance, and swordplay, and they swore to protect the Sacred Vineyards from any who would seek to desecrate them.
Bromius always carries a wineskin and offers it to allies and strangers alike, believing wine creates bonds and wisdom. He prefers negotiation over violence, often using riddles or drinking games to diffuse conflict.

The Ruin of Thallos:
One fateful night, the peaceful revelry of the Sacred Vineyards was shattered. Followers of the cruel djinni Calim, bringers of drought and ash, descended upon Thallos. They sought to extinguish Dionysos' light, burning the vineyards to the ground and slaughtering those who resisted. Bromius fought valiantly alongside yhis kin, wielding his rapier and shield in defense of all he held dear.
But it wasn’t enough. The vineyard fell, and in the chaos, Karos was taken by the djinni’s followers, dragged away into the night. As the smoke cleared, Bromius was left standing amidst the ruins of his home, the charred vines a cruel reminder of his failure. In that moment, he vowed to Dionysos that he would seek out the perpetrators—not for vengeance, but to help them see the error of their ways. Bromius believes that even they can be redeemed through the light of revelry and joy.
