Basic Information:
The Ember Wardens serve as the spiritual anchors of Myrcathis’s towns and villages. They tend to the local shrines, lead sermons of purification, and ensure the loyalty of the common folk to the Flame’s doctrine. Every warden keeps a sanctified brazier within their chapel — a fragment of fire said to have been carried from the Holy Pyre of Sanctovar itself. They report directly to the regional inquisitors, offering confessions, names, and rumors that might hint at heresy. To the people, they are shepherds of faith; to the Inquisition, they are eyes and ears. When the Ember Warden’s brazier burns higher than usual, the villagers know: an Ordained Flame is coming.
